Set in 1914 at the start of World War I, The German King is the incredible true story of Rudolf Douala Manga Bell; a Cameroonian Prince who was raised in Germany. After his father’s death he returns home to Cameroon to become King. However once back home in Africa, he learns that his people are being oppressed and killed under Kaiser Wilhelm II’s tyrannical colonial rule.
