Creating a Legacy
The Los Angeles International Short Film Festival honors those individuals who have achieved excellence in short films. As the largest short film festival in the world with more than 1,000 entries, 600 film screenings and a week of educational panels, interactive and entertaining events, the festival has quickly become the industry standard for showcasing and awarding undiscovered talent.
Academy Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Accredited
Officially recognized by the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences, some of these films may go on to receive Oscar nominations. In the past, 23 films have received Oscar nominations with 7 winning the coveted Oscar statue.
And the Nominees are….
The Festival will announce the nominees during an Announcement Party Tuesday September 12th.The next day Wednesday, September 13th the nominees in each category will screen once in eight film programs.
And the Winner is….
We will announce the award winners on Wednesday September 13th after all the nominees have screened. On Thursday, September 14th the winning films will be screened.
